Chelsea studied social work and psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a focus on Women’s studies. She earned her Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina and has been working with clients of all ages, both in individual and family settings, for more than a decade.
She has training in a variety of interventions including CBT, play therapy, and mindfulness. Chelsea understands everyone expresses themselves differently and utilizes mindfulness, movement, art, and talk therapy in her sessions.
Adolescents
Chelsea specializes in ADHD, anxiety, self-esteem, improving relational patterns, and addressing family dynamics. Using a strengths-based approach, she understands the importance of helping a client advocate for themselves, identify their needs, and express themselves fully and without judgment. Chelsea helps clients work through social media dynamics, unhelpful peer dynamics, impulsive decision making, sexual behaviors, and social substance use. Known for “telling it like it is,” Chelsea encourages honesty and transparency from her clients and does not reprimand or judge.


LGBTQ+ Adolescents
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community herself, Chelsea is passionate about helping others navigate their own identity exploration and coming out journey. Chelsea has training in gender and identity affirming practices and understands the importance of feeling supported, heard, and respected while expressing the truest version of oneself.
